As a part of “Lets Help all Breathe” initiatives, Manahprasada is collaborating with Natyachitra Arts to support the transgender community by online sale and auction of exquisite paintings.

About the initiative ....
As the pandemic rages on, many sections of the society have been affected immensely . Through the “Lets Help All Breath” set of initiatives Manahprasada has endeavoured to support some of these sections.
As an extension of this vision Manahprasada brings “AKSH – Strokes for hope” an art initiative for a cause in collaboration with The Natyachitra Arts and Aravani Art Project to enable lives of Trans community with the onset of the Pride month.
Through this initiative we are planning to help close to 200+ transgender people across India with basic essentials and glossaries . The initiative is positioned to start in on 2nd July and run all the way uptill 15th August ’21 .
This initiative brings meditative paintings on sale from Sundarakaanda – Ramayana and an Ardhanarishvara work on the canvas which will go on a digital auction. These paintings are done by artist Dr Himanshu Srivastava who has a very unique style and represent situations and stories reflecting the Indian Heritage. This initiative is supported by WICCI Karnataka Culture and Heritage council and led by Art Curator Smt. Vasantha Vaikunth .
How to participate ...
There are three ways in which you can contribute to this cause.
- Participate in the Online Auction of a very special painting
- Buy one or more of the three paintings that will be put up for sale.
- Contribute grocery kit worth INR 1000 by placing orders for them on our web page.
The proceeds from all the above three modes will be handed over to Aravani Art Project team who in turn will distribute essential item kits to the needy transgender community members across various locations in India.

About Natyachitra
Art that dances on Canvas
Dr. Himanshu Srivastava is an established Bharatanatyam dancer and a Painting artist from Delhi. Being a dance practitioner oner and academically tuned into visual Arts ,his paintings are inspired deeply by Indian classical Dance and Spirituality. With each work he breathes fresh air into concepts derived from the plethora of our cultural heritage.
Indian pantheons and philosophies can be seen flowing indubitably through his brushes. Having learnt from different traditional Indian schools of Art, he puts forward a fresh new approach as his very recognised style that speaks volumes of his understanding of Art , Spirituality and life, all in unison.
Dr. Srivastava wishes to put his best foot forward by developing four exclusive Painting works , for sale and auction. The theme is inspired by one of the most celebrated works of all the Indian ancient scriptures like ” Sunadarkand” and “Ardhanarishvara “
About Our Art Curator
Mrs. Vasantha Vaikunth
Mrs Vasantha Vaikunth is the Founder of Center for performing arts in Gulf where she curated paintings and sculptures from Karnataka Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu for her gallery and exhibitions that she held almost every month in the gulf region. She sold close to 100 paintings in each of her exhibitions.
She managed to hold an exhibition of art works from SAARC countries with the help of the ambassadors of each country. Indian ambassador was the chief guest. This was the highlight in the entire region. She was given the title- cultural ambassador of India by Govt of Oman.
She has supported all Indian artists from the villages through various initiatives.
Vasantha Vaikunth is also a multi-faceted personality who has explored and excelled in the field of art for passion as a dancer and as a corporate counselor, motivational speaker on various subjects on mental wellness much needed today. She is the founder of lifenliving.org that gives emotional support to urbanites who are caught in the techno infested society. She supports university students who look for direction and guidance.
